Fifty litres of petrol come to €98.59 at the average of Monday 28 September 2026, and fifty litres of diesel to €106.14. The calculator takes the same weekly prices and applies them to any tank, distance or consumption.

The calculator uses the Commission's national weekly average, so a forecourt on a motorway or in a city centre may charge more and a supermarket site less. The annual figure for the restoration assumes the four announced excise steps and the NORA levy are all in place; it does not include any carbon tax change.

The averages behind every result are on the national pump price for petrol and this week's diesel price; the border figures come from fuel prices North and South.
