About Litre Ledger
Litre Ledger publishes the price of petrol and diesel in the Republic of Ireland every week, with the tax in each litre itemised and the scheduled changes dated. It is independent: it is not run by the Government, by Revenue, by a fuel company or by a motoring organisation, and it does not sell fuel.
The site is built from public data only, listed with licences on the method and sources. It carries advertising to cover its costs; advertising never decides what is published or where a figure goes on the page.
It belongs to a small group of fuel price sites for other countries, including the United Kingdom, where station-level prices are published by law, and it links to them where a comparison helps a reader, as on the border page.
